Junior Software Tester (UK Visa Sponsorship)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our dynamic team.

This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a leading UK-based client and includes UK Visa Sponsorship.

As a Junior Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test plans to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to identify, track, and report software bugs, find performance issues, and continuously improve testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, Develop, and Execute Test Plans:
• Create comprehensive manual and automated test plans.
• Ensure test plans cover all functional, regression, and performance testing requirements.
• Develop and maintain test scripts for automated testing.
2. Hands-on Testing Experience:
• Perform hands-on testing of mobile and web applications.
• Identify, track, and report software bugs using bug tracking tools.
• Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure software stability.
3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on testing objectives and timelines.
4. Performance Testing:
• Identify and address performance issues in software applications.
• Use performance testing tools to simulate user load and measure system performance.
• Provide detailed reports on performance metrics and suggest improvements.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and technologies.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team to enhance overall testing efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with testing mobile and web applications.

• Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.

• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
