About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical DevOps Expert to join our dynamic team for a UK-based client.

This role is pivotal in driving the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring robust and secure deployment pipelines, and maintaining the overall health of our development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• DevOps Engineering: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.

• Microservices Architecture: Develop and maintain microservices-based applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.

• Containerization: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring seamless deployment and management of applications.

• IT Security: Implement and enforce IT security principles with expert-level knowledge to protect our systems and data.

• OT Platform Integration: Work on integrating Operational Technology (OT) platforms with IT systems, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability.

• Cloud Services: Leverage Microsoft Azure for deploying and managing cloud-based applications and services.

• Agile Methodologies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define EPICs, user stories, and features, ensuring effective planning and execution of projects.

• System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of services.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure.

• Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.

• Microservices: Strong experience with microservices architecture and containerization.

• Integration: Familiarity with OT platform integration and various integration topologies.

• Agile Practices: Experience in Agile methodologies, including defining EPICs, user stories, and planning features.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms (Azure), or IT security.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Soft Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
